Coffee Date: Your Questions Answered

Hi friends!

Happy Friday! Friday’s are quickly becoming my favorite day of the week because I get to have coffee with all of you!!

This week I’m vlogging (eek!) and answering your questions.

Or I just I should say the one question that many of you seem to want answered, which is how I manage my time between being a wife, mom, blogger, shop owner and now founder of Pollinate Media.

The video is long and has lots of info, I hope you have a fill cup of coffee… hehe

Let me know if you have any other questions.

What would you say to a vlog for coffee date every week?

If you’re linking up this week, please:

1. link directly to your post, not your blog

2. include a link back so others can join us for coffee

3. go meet some new people

  1. LOVE this! This was a perfect vlog post. What an awesome way to finally feel like we’ve really met {even though we haven’t, kind weird LOL}. I’m glad I have until Tuesday to link up. It might take me that many takes to get it right. We’ll see if I don’t make a fool of myself. AND I did make it all the way to the end. :D

LOVED this! I love HEARING bloggers because we always see pictures of each other and it’s totally more personal when you can see and hear each other! I totally need to do this! Would you consider providing information on how to do a vlog? Like where to upload it, how to get it onto your blog, etc. ?? Enjoy your day!

  4. Colleen says:

You’re such a cutie. I love a vlog- I would definitely participate every now and then!

I am SO glad you decided to post your 10 minute vlog! I made it all the way to the end and LOVED every second of it. I always love watching these as you don’t know what people’s voices sound like, what funny things they do on camera, etc. Great job Alissa!!

I love the vlog! Some great info on how to balance it all. I love that you were honest with your struggle to give up some control when it comes to the kids. I struggle with working full time from home, managing the house, plus blogging and all that comes with it… It is hard to admit that I can’t do it all… but I can’t. Also, you totally have the cute California girl voice thing going on, I’m totally jealous!

the baby and I watched to the very end :) and loved it! good for you for getting help. I can totally see how that would be hard at first, for sure. and I’m totally jealous your kids still nap?! my 3yo gave hers up right after the new baby came :/ anyway, loved hearing how you get everything done :) I guess the next person you hire is a maid, right?! haha! (that would be the best thing ever, in my opinion) love you girl!

What an awesome vlog! I really enjoyed it :) I do have one extra question for maybe a future vlog…I also own a business where I cut and sew every order. What is your favourite time of the day to sew…like when do you find you can stay on task the best? I always THINK that I’ll get lots done after they go to bed, but usually I’m so beat by then that it’s really hard to find the motivation to even get started! I’d love to compare notes with another mama who sews!!
    Thanks!
    Jade

Love the vlog post!! Thanks for sharing, and I did make it to the end!! Have a beautiful weekend! xo Heather

  12. Loved hearing about your day and what helps you. I don’t think anyone has it all figured out, and isn’t there comfort in that? Knowing that we’re all just trying to do our best for ourselves and families!

    Happy weekend!

  13. I watched this at 2 am when it posted but was too tired to comment. :/

LOVED it! You were so natural – it was like a real coffee date!

And my house is mostly messy. I hate to admit it but it is. Fortunately we have a front gate that keeps anyone from just stopping by – so when it’s really bad…I just shut the gate! Ha!

    Love ya!

That was cute! Thanks for sharing!

  15. Sounds like you’re really organized with your time! That’s great! It’s also fun to hear you share! I like the idea of vlogging once a week! I’ve only ever done one… Thinking it’s time for another.

  16. I loved your vlog and could hear you talk and mentor me all day! I love how real you are….and happy to count you as one of bloggy friends:)
I won’t be able to “vlog” but I will always link up…okay, except for today – lol
Be Blessed and have a wonderful day and weekend!
    <3 ya

So I’ve seen these coffee date posts on several other blogs, but this is the first time I clicked over to the host. LOVED this video. You are adorbs!

I stayed until the end. I enjoyed having a final cup of tea tonight with you. I plan to be here next week Friday to enjoy it all over again. It is nice to know that there are other people out there who don’t get their housework done every week.

  20. I made it to the end! Loved your vlog & I think vlog coffee every week is a wonderful idea! :) I really love how you kept it “real” with the mess behind you and how your day goes. We definitely have the Nap/quiet time in common with the kiddos. I always wondered if I was the only parent that had a mandatory “down time” during the day for the kids! I love that you realized you needed some help and you went after it, Most people wouldn’t accept that they need help and just keep trying to do it all by themselves. You are a rockstar! xoxo

  21. You are SO stinking cute!! Miss you and love you!

  22. Joanna says:

I’m loving vlogs! I just did my first one a little bit ago and am making them a regular part of ModaMama! So great to meet you and link up. Would love if you dropped by and checked me out as well. Thanks!!

It’s so inspiring that you are able to do so much – and with kids too! I loved your blog, thanks so much for sharing!!!

  24. nikkiana says:

What a neat idea! Maybe I should do one of these…

  25. Jerri says:

Great vlog! I want to start vlogging too. I even have an upcoming blog project that requires me to vlog. (ah!) I’m super nervous about it! But I love your “natural” approach too it. That makes it look easy!

  26. Laura says:

Thats was a wonderful vlog! I watched the whole thing. Nice to “meet” you! :)
I liked how open you were about how you handle it all. I think its great you hired someone to help with the kids, you still get to be at home working and thats wonderful. Congrats on Pollinate Media, I am so excited for the future of it.

  27. Claire says:

I look forward to your post each week:) thank you for helping me to open my heart to my blog readers…

Still working on building up the courage to do a vlog …. Maybe soon
