Part I covers Finding + Understanding Your Own Personal Brand.
I hope you find this helpful and informative.
Homework: In what ways do you feel like your blog reflects your personal brand? What changes do you think you need to make if you don’t feel that it does reflect your brand? Write down 5 words that you would want people to use when describing your brand, then ask a friend or two how they would describe your brand and see if they line up.

Hi + welcome to my little spot in the blogesphere.
I'm so glad you stopped by.
My name is Alissa + I'm the fun-loving, chocolate addict, coffee drinking
Wife + Mom behind the blog Rags to Stitches.
I hope you’ll pop around and stay for a while.

I am so happy you are sharing with us! I’m so upset when I can’t go to conferences. I started my blog over a year ago but didn’t think it would take me this far! I am so happy to be a part of such a wonderful community. I never thought I’d make friends blogging! I am so thankful the God has led me on this path.
I never realized that it would be my brand. I never thought my blog would grow so much. I started when my daughter was a baby and named my blog because my new life with a baby girl would be all about tutus & tea parties (and it totally is)!
Thanks Alissa! Look forward to learning more!

What helpful food for thought. Thanks so much for sharing your know-how with us about branding. It’s still hard for me to think about my blog as a brand. Now I’m thinking about 5 words to describe my brand. Hmmmm. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Congrats on the successful Lasik! P.S. I don’t see the linky widget for others to link up.

Thank you so much for sharing! I had a different name before Hurley Love. I thought it would be a good name because it represents the type of love I give or what my blog is about. Five words that I would like my blog described as is passionate, honest, real, colorful, and sassy (okay maybe that is a description of me, but I guess that makes sense). Thank you so much again for sharing. I can’t wait for the next few posts.
Thanks for sharing this…I am looking forward to more! I am feeling a bit all over the place, so I welcome all your awesome advise!! xo

This is such a great topic, and honestly, I went through a huge thought process about it yesterday and how important it is to make sure that everything looks uniformly branded that are yours and are connected to your brand. Yesterday I spent a big chunk of time redesigning and connecting my sites better across the web-o-sphere to create more of unity. It’s so important.
Looking forward to the rest of the series, I know for me I know exactly WHY I named my blog what I did and how it connects to the other pieces in our life – for example – the blog, it’s just a matter of staying that way. For example, my blog name – The Streeters Unlimited is supposed to reflect our life in an unlimited way, however, I’m not always so great at making sure that happens.

Thank you so much for this. I have blogged for a few years, started this new one a few months ago and the name and idea felt blank. I just didn’t know where I was going with my blog. I know have an idea. I’m sharing my heart but the name/look is still up in the air. And you look beautiful without makeup!
Wow! I am just so blown away at how helpful all your info is! I’m so glad I clicked on this link!

Ok, 5 words to describe my brand (Litva’s Jewelry) Handmade, Unique, Detailed, Elegant and Quality.
These are things I take seriously and I am very passionate and proud of my work.
I’m going to search coffee dates now for the rest of this series!
