Wore: Mint & Neon

Thanks to the encouragement of my sweet friend, this past weekend I came home with some Mint denim skinny’s from Target.

While I’m still figuring out what I can pair them with in my closet, I thought I’d share 3 fun looks I’m hoping to rock with these jeans.

#1: Mint & Chambray

I’m pretty much in love with this Chambray shirt and love any reason to wear it.

I love how the colors all complement each other. I even threw in some coral just to get some other pops of color in my outfit.

#2: Mint & Boyfriend Cardi

I have this boyfriend cardigan in brown and black, but I love this look for a more casual day. Maybe for running errands, coffee with a girlfriend, preschool drop off or pick up, because let’s face it we all try to look our best.

(No, that’s just me)

Ok then. hehe I try to look my best.

#3 Mint & Stripes

I got this shirt at Nordstrom last fall and I’m always looking for new pants to pair it with. I sometimes struggle with taking risks with my outfits so I usually wear it with blue denim, but I really like it with the mint.

The stripes give a little contrast and add to my outfit.

What do you think?

Wore: A Wedding Edition

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 8 years since I got married.

I remember waking up at the hotel before my bridesmaids and quietly slipping out of the room.

Walking around I eyed the overflowing suitcases until my eyes settled in my wedding dress.

The dress. The shoes. The months of planning finally turning into a reality.

The rush of excitement and anticipation was overwhelming, yet calming at the same time.

After all, I’d been planning each and every perfect detail for the past 5 1/2 months.

The dress fit even more perfectly than it did when I first tried it on.

Completing my now finished hair and make up, the only thing left was to walk down the aisle.

It’s funny how it’s easy to forget so many of the little details of such a momentous day.

Like who sat next to who, or if the bubbles made it to each person’s chair for the recession.

All I remember is the warm sun on my face and the smile on Kyle’s that seemed to permeate through me.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Kyle’s vows made sure of it.

Just like a painter needs a paintbrush… I need you

Just like a potter needs his clay… I need you

Just like the water needs to meet the ocean shore… I need you”

Even after all these years, those words ring true, and I couldn’t be more blessed that he chose to say them to me.

And although the day was over quicker than it began.

It will always and forever be one of the best chapters in the book of my life.

What do you remember most about your wedding? Would you have changed anything?

Wore: A taste of Hawai’i Style

Have I ever told you how much I love to read?

Since having little ones I find that I don’t have the time to read as much as I used to. Mostly because when I read I get completely lost in my book, and enter the world I’m reading about almost as if I’m a character in the book watching what’s happening in a third party perspective. I’m sometimes amazed by the ease in which I’m able to loose myself in these magical lands and feel as though I’m one with the characters I’m reading about.

This trip has been no different. I entered the land of the Dauntless and it was there that I stayed for the first two days of my trip. Yes, I found myself lost in a society where I feel like I could only hope that I would be Divergent as well. Thankfully yesterday we headed out on a catamaran for the day, which held me over until book 2 came out today.

So thank you Barnes and Noble for allowing me to spend more time with some of my favorite new characters, Tris and Four.

{Wore: Top – Hernandez // Bottoms – Robin Piccone // Fedora – Old Navy // Book – Divergent}

On the 2nd night of our trip we decided to eat dinner out at Kimo’s and it was fun to get a little dressed up and head into town for a bit.

But of course, not before snapping a couple pictures of my outfit.

Do you find yourself getting lost in the books you read? Have you had a chance to read Divergent yet? What did you think?

Wore: SNAP! Style

As you know last weekend I was at SNAP! Conference.

I’ve spend the last two days re-joining the real world and often find myself missing my roommates and all our inside jokes. I learned so much about myself and my blog and business. I’m excited to share all I’ve learned over the next couple of weeks. But until then I thought I’d share what’s most important first…. my outfits! hehe

I tried to take as many outfit pictures as possible, but going through my photos I realized that I only took pictures of 3 of my outfits and they were the ones I wore to dinner each night.

This outfit was the one I traveled in.

This blue dress was a last minute score before I left on my trip. I’m absolutely in LOVE with it and want to wear it all the time!

Remember last week when I asked if I should wear this dress with wedges or make room in my suitcase for my boots?

Well I made room for my boots!!

I’m so glad that I did.

I think the boots make the dress. I wore this the last night at dinner and to the dance party afterwards.

What I Wore: Lace and Boots

Right now I’m up to my elbows in packing and to do lists.

I’m also extremely nervous…. like sick to my stomach nervous.

I know SNAP conference is going to be amazing, but right now just thinking about it makes my heart speed up and my stomach want to shake hands with my throat.

Wore: Crochet lace dress – Nordstrom// Cowboy boots – Nordstrom // Necklace – Three Sisters Jewelry

So since I’m knee deep in packing I thought I’d get your opinion on this outfit. I just got this dress for my birthday but I’m trying to figure out if I want to pack my cowboy boots or wear this dress with a cute pair of heels or wedges.

I snagged these cowboy boots 50% off 7 years ago when visiting Oregon. I’m absolutely in love with them!

So I need your help.

Do I make room in my suitcase for these boots, or leave them at home?

In the meantime, I’m off to keep crossing things off my to do list and get my suitcase packed.
