Hi Rags to Stitches readers!
I am so happy to be here today! I am going to be contributing hair & beauty posts to this lovely site. I’m no professional, but I am a momma who loves this kind of stuff, so I like to share what I figure out with the rest of the blogging world. You can find me at Ma Nouvelle Mode regularly.
Today I want to talk about some winter hairstyles. I don’t know where you live, but here it’s cold. And sometimes rainy. And sometimes snowy. And sometimes windy. When I have my hair down it tends to get knotted and ratted and really yucky. So I have come up with three pretty braids that will be perfect during these winter months.
Winter Braids
French Fishtail
All three of these looks are very easy. They can all also be worn with a beanie or ear warmers so you’re always warm. If you know how to do a fishtail braid, this one will be easy. To see exactly how I’ve done it, you can check out the video below.
The Simple Braid
This is just a simple braid with a little twist in the back. I use the twist in the back to make sure all the hair stays over to one side. you can also pin the front back too. I then pin my bangs back into the braid because I like to have my hair out of my face. Voila! Easy peezy!
The Twisted Unbraid
Is braiding intimidating to you – no worries! This is the easiest style to do. Remember those topsy turvy ponytails from the 80′s? Well, it’s that just over and over again all the way down. If you want to see how to do it, I made a video just for you!
Well, I hope your inspired to try some of these styles. They are very easy & work with most hair types. I have lots of hair tutorials so feel free to check my site out anytime!

These are so cute! I did a “bubble ponytail” before Christmas, and now I can try it with the “french fishtail” aspect, too. Can’t wait. Also, I totally have that necklace, and love it
